Practical tips for moving furniture or making deliveries by van in Zagreb: packing, loading, securing the load, planning the route and choosing the rental duration.
Make a list of what you are moving
Before renting a van, write down the large items – wardrobes, bed, washing machine. This makes it easier to choose the right van size and to know whether everything fits in one trip.
Pack smart
Put heavy things in small boxes and light things in large ones. Label every box with the room it goes to. Wrap fragile items in blankets or towels – it also saves on packing material.
Loading: heavy at the front, light on top
Load the heaviest pieces first, against the cab. Stack boxes from the floor up and secure the load with straps so it does not shift in bends.
Plan the route and timing
For a short delivery within Zagreb, a 5-hour rental (€50, 150 km) is usually enough. For a full move or several trips, the 24-hour rental (€70, 300 km) is better value. Check parking outside the building and avoid rush hour.
Drive relaxed
A van is taller and longer than a car, so keep more distance and watch the height of garage entrances. All our cargo vans can be driven with a category B licence.
